I became a DONA Certified Birth Doula in 2001 and an Approved Birth Doula Trainer in 2012. I earned my CLC with Healthy Children's Project in 2015 and became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator in 2019. In 2023 I became a Certified BRM Pro, where I have learned tools and movements that are specific to each pregnant body to help ease the routine aches and pains of pregnancy, increase the odds for an easier labor and birth as well as smoother recovery postpartum.
DONA is a member organization and for this reason it is my goal to give of myself and be as actively involved as I can be. I served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer from 2014 - 2017. I have volunteered on the Nominations Committee, the Education Committee as well as many other committees. I currently enjoy reviewing packets from newly trained doulas on the Certification Committee.
I have gained invaluable experience while working with several local organizations including Raise Colorado and the March of Dimes.
I like to be busy and enjoy a wide variety of activities including weight training, golfing, cycling, swimming and enjoying the company of my 7 grandchildren and my sweet dog, Ari.
