I trained in 2001 and became a DONA International certified doula in 2002. We live in Berwick PA. I also am certified and teach Lamaze classes in my home, both group and private and provide breastfeeding help as a certified lactation counselor. I was recently approved as a facilitor for When Survivors Give Birth and am looking forward to offering 3 hour workshops soon. I love my job!
My husband Tom and I have 8 wonderful children, 4 great son in laws, 7 amazing grandchildren, a grandson in law and 2 adorable great grandsons! we are truly blessed.
I was honored and proud to have served on the DONA International board of directors for 6 years as Northeast Regional director, president elect, president and past president.
Once my term was up I focused that energy to my community and along with group of doulas and consumers we have started a local chapter of the non profit Improving Birth to offer classes, awareness and sliding scale doula services. We are excited about the possibilities!
