For over thirty years I worked as a teacher in Venezuelan public and private educational institutions from primary to high school . I also worked as a Professor at the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL), Maracay, Venezuela, where I attended undergraduate students.
I worked as a Professor at the Institute of Higher Studies Arnoldo Gabaldón where I attended students who were doing post-graduate studies.
After I retired in 2010, I became a doula through Venezuelan Association of Doulas and Childbirth Educators (AVEDEP) in 2013. In my country I used to offer support to pregnant mothers and their families to feel confident and prepared for birth and life with a baby, I did this in public institutions as a voluntary service to the community.
Now I am in Beaverton Oregon, where I received my training from DONA International and am working towards my certification. Since January I am a Mother Tree Doula Birth intern.
